Can YourVABenefits request my C-file for me?
Written by Staff Writer AI-assisted · YourVABenefits · Who writes these
Not directly. VA gives claims-file access only to representatives it has accredited, holding your VA Form 21-22 or 21-22a, and we are not one. VA's paper form lets a third party sign a request only with a VA Form 21-0845 on record, and VA's pages do not say whether the file is then sent to that third party or to you. What we do is prepare the checklist and the address on your claims file page; you sign the form and send it. We never ask for your VA.gov login and we never submit anything to VA.
